transitions, seasons of change

What Transitions Might Be Teaching Us...

Hello, Let’s talk about transitions and what they might be here to teach us. It feels fitting as we too, begin to transition from summer to fall. The past few years of my life have been marked by a lot of change, with endings, beginnings, uncertainty, reinvention, and a constant need to reorient to what life was asking of me in each new chapter. Most recently came a transition that perhaps no one quite prepares you for - dropping my daughter off at college and returning home to an empty...
Summer rituals

My favorite Summer ritual

Hello, Every summer I come back to the same ritual as it reminds my body what balance feels like. The night before, I place two or three strands of saffron into a glass of water. By morning, the water has turned a beautiful golden hue. Sometimes I'll add a few organic rose petals or a squeeze of lime. Then I take it outside. Summer's Duality

Hello, Happy Summer! The end of the school year arrived before we knew it was here. One day I found myself feeling proud and watching my only daughter step toward what comes next as she graduated from high school. Seeing the ways she has grown into herself and the ways she no longer needs me in quite the same way she once did. Then there are other moments, where I find myself unexpectedly emotional. It’s a different kind of grief to experience. Looking at photographs, remembering versions of...

As one chapter closes, another one begin...

Hello Dear One, The air has shifted and with it my pace, a little slower and a little more intentional, and I wanted to meet you here from that place to share something tender and new - I recently, finished my book manuscript. It's headed into the next phase now with the publisher- edits, fine-tuning, and the alchemy that turns a document into a book you can hold in your hands and it will be out next fall. Writing these pages has been a pilgrimage of sorts, equal parts discipline and...

Summer Reflections

Hello dear one, This summer has been a season of resting in liminal spaces, time in nature, healing and deep personal transitions - and now, as I sit down to write to you again, I’m carrying both the warmth of those experiences and a sense of anticipation for what’s ahead. I hope your summer has held its own moments of joy, rest, and fun. There’s something about this time of year, as the days are slowly and slowly getting shorter, that calls us to slow down just enough to notice where we’ve...
